School Souls

Are Ghost real?...

I Love stories like this, Ghost stories... And I know ghost hunter, the fear, the superstitions always hides a bigger story... A true story...

It all began in Hong Kong...

Ricky , school teacher by day and war gamer by night. here is the story of Ricky...

"We usually look for abandoned buildings to play. And that's why I organized on the Tak Tak School. We are divided into two teams. When the enemy saw me, he shot me so I went into the dead zone. My friend pointed into a room and ask "do you see a man squatting there?" I look closer and seemed as if he was squatting down to pick something up. he was wearing white and when I reached the room, I found nothing..."

Tak Tak school in Ping Shan Village, rated as one of the Hong Kong's most haunted places...

Madam Ling Tze is a believer, a ghost whisperer. Madam Ling Tze explained that belief in after life is common place in Hong Kong. and madam Ling said: Spirits are everywhere and there are plenty of ghost there in Tak Tak school.

Why is the School abandoned?

Robert Joe, A blogger and also an Urban explorer looking for some answers why the school is abandoned. He then went to uncle Fat. Uncle Fat is the brother of the last principal of Tak Tak school. He mentioned that the school didn't shut down because of mysterious or tragic circumstances.

There is another story in the web that Robert saw... This is all about the group of 12 kids who actually heard the stories of Tak Tak School. and they decided to sneak in bravely in night time. suddenly, they saw a lady in red through the windows. On the way out, one of the girls just started to freak out, acting strange,  Choking herself, and attacking her friends. later on, she told that she had a vision of people killing themselves, committing suicide. and turns out that there are rumors of a teacher at this school would kill herself in one of the bathrooms.

And believe it or not, there is a cemetery behind the school. and I wonder if the lady in red had something to do with the people buried here in the cemetery...

If a school teacher did commit suicide was this her grave?

Could real tragedy been the inspiration with this lady on red?

Robert Joe, looking for answers in Hong Kong police. and then he discovered that there is no record of a suicide at Tak Tak school.

That suggested the lady in red, wasn't based on a real person. and maybe she was just a product of the teen age girls imagination.

Joseph Bosco, A professor of anthropology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, explains the lady in red. He mentioned that woman in red really represents women who are violent ghost. they died violently, and they are those hungry ghost.

Tammie, a local, told Robert that "The school, the village, and their history were connected by one name."

Who were this "Tang"?

The entire village was part of a clan system. Robert saw uncle Fat again. cause he is also a Tang. Robert ask about these cannons...

Uncle Fat said that, they were last used when they are fighting against the British. The British wants to claim these lands so the villagers took up arms to stop them.

On March 13, the Tangs spend 3,695 us dollars buying cannons during Shunzhi era.

Robert Joe is looking for any documentation/any proof regarding the conflict between the British Empire but sadly, he didn't find any proof in the museum. And now he had this question of does this British war exist? why is it that it didn't appear in the news' front page?.

Robert went to Hong Kong public records building and read about the British government Hong Kong Archives. and then he found the phrase: "We hate english barbarians that would enter our boundaries and take our land. and will cause endless evil.

The British won in the first Opium war in 1839-1842. and the first treaty didn't affect the villagers in the new territories. 50 years later the British demanded more and because of this the Chinese signed a controversial 99 year lease giving the British more land and it was called the British expansion.

This is the torpedo that the Tang were facing with their 300 year old cannons. and with this I believe military tactics were imbalanced. Their could be casualties...

Robert meet another Tang to have more information about the history. when he talked with grandpa Tang he ask for more details about the book that grandpa Tang made.

Grandpa Tang said: "On March 11 1899 the Qing dynasty and the British, signed the new territory border agreement.

Grandpa Tang called the war "The six days war..." and more than 2500 from many nearby villagers took part. and based on the records of Grandpa Tang, It had more than 170 people from Ping Shan village that the British killed. And the official records stated that there is no reported casualties in the war. were there any cover-ups?...

Robert went again to see Tang Shing Sze and ask if where did they buried the dead. and Tang Shing Sze said that they are buried at Kam Tin.

Robert Joe talked to the British historian Dr. Patrick Hase. and according to Dr. Hase, both sides agreed to forget. that's the reason why the info that grandpa Tang and the official records didn't match.

According to the Chinese, not caring for the soul of the ancestors, would lead to consequences... and Robert Joe mentioned to his blog that Ping Shang story, had many elements: mystery, political cover-ups, and ancient beliefs. The abandoned school had long tales of ghosts, but the real story, the real mystery was the century old war that were in the records...

Behind Clark Air Base...

I Love Stories like this, Ghost stories... And I know ghost hunter, the fear, the superstitions always hides a bigger story... A true story...

This happened in Clark Airbase Philippines

a largest american overseas and a former U.S army facility. Americans operated here for almost 100 years. Long enough for ghosts stories to emerge especially for one place the Hospital...

Ramon Tiglao, A former security guard in the Clark Airbase Hospital said: "I cannot forget that day 1973 of May". Ramon works in the hospital 10 in the evening until 6 in the morning. every hour he walks to check and walk to his post. one midnight he walks to the 1st floor of the building to have roving then suddenly he heard those noise of boots in the cement. His body got cold and said "Oh God, what's wrong with me?". despite of his feelings, he continue to do roving then he intercept a guy, a big guy wearing a complete uniform (fatigue and camouflage). when he look at his face, the soldier had no face. and because of this Ramon was scared and his heart beats fast.

The soldier ask for cigarette. and when Ramon give the cigar to the soldier he felt the coldness of the soldiers hand. after that Ramon couldn't see him anymore... And after Ramon closes the back door, he immediately went to his outpost and stayed. he told himself that "Oh that's a ghost, that's a ghost."

Robert Joe, A blogger and also an Urban explorer browse some archives of the footage of the Hospital looking for answers. and then discovered its purpose... the hospital is being built to treat those critically wounded in Vietnam.

Mike Sculley, had been a medic on the Clark Airbase Hospital. Mike didn't hear some ghost stories in the hospital and according to Mike the hospital was the best hospital he worked at. this was considered to be "paradise"...

Clark Airbase was the logistical hub for the Americans during the Vietnam war. it is a bloody war that lasted 2 decades. Clark Hospital would seen many of the wounded and the dead. this could have been inspired the story about the ghost soldier. and this I believe why many people are so afraid and tell that this place is haunted...

There is also a place within Clark Airbase which is very haunted. Ding Cervantes a local journalist interviewed a local security and this is Ramon Tiglao. Ramon told to Ding his another terrible experience and this are:

1. Chains being dragged.
2. Voices being heard even there is no one being there.
3. A white lady crossing a portion of the building.

Frank Regis, A meta-physicist said: "We can visualize the world as a grid. There are positive grid and there are also negative grid and most haunting happen in the negative grid where there is a history of violence and a history of pain."

Ramon Tiglao witnessed the arrival of wounded soldiers from day until night everyday. some soldiers have no hands, they bring sick people in the hospital during the Vietnam war, some got shot, and some soldier got burned their body. everyday there are 6 buses carrying soldiers and the maximum capacity of the bus is 60. so meaning the hospital receives more than 200-300 wounded soldiers per day... they bring the wounded soldiers directly to the basement... and Ramon said: "today if you walk to the basement you would hear noises." and that's the reason why Ramon wouldn't go to the basement...

John Gilbert, a  med veteran who is helping maintain the Clark Veteran Cemetery said: "There are still 25% of the cemetery that can still be utilize." and according to John bodies buried into the basement mounted to urban legend.

Is there any Mental Unit in the Clark Airbase Hospital to help those mentally affected soldiers after the battle?

well the answer is yes there is a mental unit behind the Clark Airbase Hospital...

Dr. Andrew Wiest, Vietnam war expert talk about Vietnam war Syndrome and PTSD and base from Dr. Weist these two are the same... its essentially soldiers seeing troma in combat and come home changed. And PTSD isn't simple PTSD involves everything from flashback to nightmares to unable to function in the society. and the only cure that the doctors did is to send them back into war as often as they could.

World War II, there were 60 million were killed in 6 years. up to one million in the Philippines. and Clark was right at the middle of it.

December 8, 1941 - A day before Pearl Harbor the Japanese attacked the Clark Airbase.
April 9, 1942 - The U.S surrenders the Bataan Peninsula to the Japanese. 75,000 Filipino and American  troops were force to make 104 km march to prison caps and many are in need of food, water, and medical care. and those who couldn't march were killed and there were almost 11,000 prisoners died. it became known as BATAAN DEATH MARCH.

Fernando Santos, Eyewitness on the very first training of the Kamikaze. the Kamikaze were taught about different kinds of American Warships. and in the airfield which Fernando mentioned, Robert discovered A Bomb Shelter which kamikaze made.

The first kamikazes flew from Clark in 1944, when Takijiro Onishi attack unit, place 250 kg bombs on fighter planes. and targeted U.S Carriers.

50 Years later an active volcano force the american to evacuate the Clark Airbase and this is the Mount Pinatubo Eruption in 1991. nearly 15,000 American service personnel were evacuated.

For almost 100 years. this place was wrap in conflict. I'm not sure if it has real ghost. but history haunts it...
